Quesada has taken over the coaching role for the side in the wake of Mario Ledesma moving into the coaching of Argentina's Test team after achieving the Jaguares most successful Super Rugby season.

QUICK TAP: THE TOP TEN MOMENTS FROM THE 2018 SEASON

Quesada played 38 times for Argentina from 1996-2003, and played rugby in France for Narbonne, Beziers, Stade Francais, Pau and Toulon. He moved into coaching and was an assistant coach for France from 2008-11 and with Racing Metro from 2011-13. He coached Stade Francaise from 2013-17 and Biarritz last northern winter.

Ten new players have been added to the squad with seven coming from the Pumitas – Argentina's World Rugby Under-20 championship side. The seven are: props Mayco Vivas and Lucio Sordoni, lock Lucas Paulos, flanker Santiago Grondona, midfield back Santiago Chocobares and outside back Ignacio Mendy and Santiago Carreras. Mendy is the youngest at 18 years.

Other newcomers have been promoted from the Argentina XV squad and include hooker Gaspar Baldunciel, lock Franco Molina, No.8 Rodrigo Bruni and first five-eighths Domingo Miotti. Bruni has taken the place of Pumas veteran Leonardo Senatore, who is the surprise omission from the squad.

Miotti faces a big task during the season in attempting to help cover the gap left after Nicolas Sanchez' departure for Stade Francais and the retirement of Juan Martin Hernandez. Also available in the position are Joaquin Diaz Bonilla and Santiago Gonzalez Iglesias, who share four Super Rugby starts between them.
Back from injury will be tighthead prop Enrique Pieretto and 51-Test fullback Joaquin Tuculet, both having suffered knee injuries that kept them out of rugby throughout 2018. Halfback Tomas Cubelli will be set to make his Jaguares debut having returned to Argentina from the Brumbies only to miss the 2018 campaign due to injury.

Missing from the squad are props Franco Brarda and Nicolas Leiva, loose forwards Benjamin Macome and Santiago Montagner, halfback Felipe Ezcurra and centre Santiago Alvarez.

Alvarez has decided to join Argentina's Sevens side while Ezcurra will play in the Argentina XV in the Americas Rugby Championship.

The full squad, with Test matches in brackets, is: Javier Diaz (3), Santiago Garcia Botta (33), Nahuel Tetaz Chaparro (50), Mayco Vivas (0), Gaspar Balduncier (0), Agustin Creevy (83), Diego Fortuny (1), Julian Montoya (51), Santiago Medrano (11), Enrique Pieretto (23), Lucio Sordoni (2), Juan Pablo Zeiss (6), Matias Alemanno (53), Tomas Lavanini (50), Franco Molina (0), Lucas Paulos (0), Guido Petti (45), Santiago Grondona (0), Marcos Kremer (21), Tomas Lezana (30), Pablo Matera (58), Rodrigo Bruni (3), Juan Manuel Leguizamon (85), Javier Ortega Desio (51), Gonzalo Bertranou (19), Tomas Cubelli (69), Martin Landajo (84), Joaquin Diaz Bonilla (1), Santiago Gonzalez Iglesias (43), Domingo Miotti (0), Santiago Chocobares (0), Jeronimo de la Fuente (46), Bautista Ezcurra (5), Ignacio Mendy (0), Matias Moroni (40), Matias Orlando (39), Emiliano Boffelli (23), Sebastian Cancelliere (6), Bautista Delguy (11), Ramiro Moyano (30), Santiago Carreras (0), Juan Cruz Mallia (4), Joaquin Tuculet (51).
